Barkhor Street

Sometimes in the past this street used to be the walk around path for the Tibetan monks and pilgrims but today it has developed into one of the most bustling and hustling place in the Lhasa city. The oldest street in the city is all about variety, quantity and quality of goods and it somewhat reflects the culture of Tibet. Even the small dotted houses serve as a shop selling you every kind of stuffs like Buddha statues, Thangka paintings, Tibetan jock sticks and what not. Other especially of this street is that it offers you foods that are famous or not famous but equally delicious. In this your stomach stops from eating more when it has had too much, your heart will never know when to stop.
